Dear Soldiers of the Cross,
Greeting in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. March 1st was our last meeting at Share-A-Thon 2020 and what a time we had. God truly met with us in a very special way this year with souls being saved, saints revived and many making solid commitments to God. The Lord sure did do a great work in my heart.
God gave us a wonderful opportunity to preach at a wild game dinner at Coats Baptist Church in Harnett County. While in the area I visited and preached at my home church, Christian Chapel Baptist Church. It was a joy visiting with all of them and reminiscing over my early Christian life. My pastor at that time was Bro Harry Thomas, and he is still pastoring the church. Bro Harry’s preaching during those days influenced me greatly and is still helping me today. Thank God for MEN OF GOD that will PREACH without fear of man.
March 2020 also came in with a vengeance, ushering in a pandemic that this generation has never seen — coronavirus or covid-19. It has attacked the entire world at present with an uncurable disease. What is GOD trying to say to us? At present, and I say this because these numbers are changing by the minute, total confirmed infected worldwide are 1,365,004, total deaths 76,507. USA confirmed infected are 369,069, total deaths 11,752. Again I say, “What is GOD trying to say to us”? Could it be 2 Chronicles 7:14? “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Or is He saying Isaiah 26:20? “Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.” I know that God is saying something, and I’m asking Him to speak to my heart. Our entire nation is shutdown with schools closed, businesses closed, our churches are closed, and the workforce has come to a halt. We are hearing a word spoken that is very seldom heard, “unprecedented.” My friend, there is coming a day when it will truly be an unprecedented time, and that is when God raptures His Church out of this world. My question to you is, are you ready for that day?
My schedule has changed with cancelled projects and some in jeopardy of being cancelled. Please pray for us during these days of uncertainty, and I will be praying for you.
As We Labor for Christ,
Gerry & Sheril Locklear
