Dear Soldiers of the Cross,
I trust you are doing well today and laboring faithfully in your garden for the souls of men. As God’s people we all have our own mission field wherein we are placed and equipped and qualified by God to rescue the perishing. We only need to be reminded of the Lord’s prayer request: Matthew 9:38 “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
As I sit alone without Ms Sheril with me, in the Asheville airport, at 4:30 AM, while awaiting my flight to Spokane, Washington, I’m reminded of so many hardships that many missionaries go through daily. There has been so many that I have read about that have suffered separation from their families, sickness and even death while serving God on the mission field. We as God’s people are not exempt from the troubles of this life. In fact, we may suffer even more. One thing I have discovered is that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not cheap. It has always come with a high price and always will. The question is, are we willing to pay the price that men, women and boys and girls might be saved? Let me say, “OH LORD, YOU CAN COUNT ME IN.”
Well, God has done it again! We had another successful building project on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. God gave us the opportunity to put forth our hands to the plow and labor for Him once again. Missionary and Pastor Ken Trivette at the Pine Ridge Baptist Church needed help with finishing out a missionary dorm and God sent us the workers. We had 15 men and women to join us for this project. Praise the Lord! This dorm will be used to house workers that come out to help Bro Ken with VBS and other ministry projects on the reservation and also will serve as a missionary quarter for weary missionaries passing through. Bro Ken and Sister Sherry have been faithful missionaries to the Lakota Sioux People since 2012, and God has used them mightily to reach these dear folks. If you would like to be a part of this ministry and help them to reach these lost for Christ, please let me know and we can get you connected.
As I sit alone in my motel room here in Spokane, Washington, finishing up this prayer letter and making plans for today, I’m thankful for all the opportunities God has given me to labor for Him. My heart is heavy this morning, for we have just received word that our dear friend and sister in the Lord, Ms Betty Henn, has gone home to be with the Lord. This reminds me that our days are few and that we need to be busy about the Father’s business. Please pray for me as I will be visiting the Coeur D’Alene Reservation, Kalispel Reservation and the Kootenai Reservation with hopes of getting Gospel works started here.
