July 2021 Prayer Letter

Dear Soldiers of the Cross,

July has been a very busy month and filled with many open doors for ministry. 4th of July week, we were in Lumbee country among our tribe. We had opportunity to visit with some of our family and also preach in some of our Lumbee Churches. I’m trilled to be apart of a people that God has shown many favors and saved an astonishing number of native people. I cannot believe that His mercy stops here, I’m confident that He wants to save other native tribes. Please pray for my Lumbee people that they will step-up and seize this great opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the rest of our 567 native tribes through the nation.

The week of July 14th North Hazelwood Baptist Church in Waynesville NC helped us with a VBS on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona. We had a great time with missionary / Pastor Justin Barnett and his family at Indian Well Baptist Church. We had a good number of kids each night attending the VBS, with 5 souls making professions, Praise the Lord. God gave us wonderful weather and a great time of fellowship together. Please continue to pray for this ministry and those precious souls.

The week of July 26th God gave us a wonderful opportunity to have a Bible School (VBS) on the Kalispel Reservation in northern Washington State. There’s not a church or missionary on this reservation working with these dear folks. With the help of Faith Baptist Church in Spokane Washington and the Higginbotham family from Oklahoma we had a very successful (VBS).  Our numbers were low due to a report that CDC sent out a week before the (VBS) began. But we are not discouraged because we were there at our post of duty and enjoying this wonderful open-door God gave us to labor for HIM. We are already making plans for another (VBS) next year. Bro Tom Stasney out of Faith Baptist Church is also making plans to begin a weekly bible study with the folks. Our hope is, to one day build a Baptist Church there on that reservation, I can’t hardly wait, Praise the Lord. Please pray that God will send them a missionary.

This week August 2nd (today) is the first day of our (VBS) on the Fort Hall Reservation in Blackfoot Idaho, with Bro Joe Copley and his dear folks at Faith Baptist Church. Hoopers Creek Baptist Church is helping us once again with this (VBS). They have been faithful to help us here for the past six year. Sadly, I’m not presently with them because our RV broke down 3 days ago in Regis MT. while enroute to the Fort Hall Reservation. We are very much heart broken about not being present at our post of duty. Romans 8:28 teaches us that all things work together for our good, so I’m trusting in God to full fill his will in my life. On Saturday evening I was able to lead a 13-year-old native boy to the Lord while helping Missionary Wayne Voss and his dear wife with ministry work on the Flathead Reservation here in Montana, maybe this was the reason, God knows.

Please pray for us that we can get fix and back on the road.
