Dear Soldiers of the Cross,
Jeremiah 29:13 “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” February represents purification, renewal and transition, stemming from the Roman festival Februa for cleansing. It’s a month of reflection and resetting, marked by both ancient rituals and modern observances. Pagan traditions like Imbolc (Feb 1-2) marked the midpoint between winter solstice and spring equinox, celebrating the return of light. It’s seen as the “in-between” month, a time for clearing out the old before spring fully awakens. Beloved, I hope that you are fully awake today and ready for all that God has in store for you. This past winter has been long, cold and snowy. I’m praying for an equally unusual move of God in 2026. I’m ready for the moving of the mulberry trees in a mighty way and seeing souls saved by God’s amazing grace.
Beloved, God has already started out this year with an answered prayer for me. It has been a desire of mine for many years to visit Israel. My Pastor Phillip Youngblood and Pastor Ralph Sexton have planned a trip to the Holy Land, and God has given me liberty to attend this trip with them. My heart is overwhelmed with joy to have this opportunity to walk were my blessed Saviour Jesus Christ walked and visit the place where he died for me. The trip is for ten days, leaving out September 28th. I have made my deposit and I’m ready to go. I ask that you pray for safety for this trip and for financing that’s needed. The cost of the trip is just over $6000. This is out of reach for me, but I serve a God that’s able to meet this need. We have 11 Bible schools and three building projects scheduled for this year. Please pray for all the groups that will be coming out to help us. Pray that God will meet their needs and keep them safe as they travel. Please pray for our building projects that God would supply the financing needed. I would like to invite everyone to attend our 2026 Share-a-Thon at Anchor Baptist Church, starting March 2nd. The address is 3232 Hendersonville Hwy, Pisgah Forest, NC. This gathering is for a number of events — preaching, singing, fellowship, eating, relaxing and raising support for the two radio stations and the internet. The radio stations are missions supported, and the time spent on the grounds is out of this world. If you can’t attend, you can tune in by AM radio at 720 and FM at 94.9 or by internet at wgcr.net. Please pray for Pastor Barton and all the staff that God will give them strength for this task.
