Meet Gerry & Sheril Locklear

My name is Gerry Locklear and my wife’s name are Sheril, we are both members of the Lumbee Tribe located in Eastern North Carolina. We have lived in Fairview, NC for more than 25 years. I was saved August 10, 1980, and Sheril was saved September 9, 1993. I surrendered to the call to Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ on August 3, 2009 and was ordained April 11, 2010. We are both members of Hooper’s Creek Baptist Church in Fletcher NC and have been for over 25 years.

Sheril and I are Missionaries to the Native Americans wherever found in lower United States, Alaska, and Canada. We have been working in Native Missions since 1992. On July 5, 2006, we formed the Native American Mission Fund Ministries (NAMFM) at Hooper’s Creek Baptist Church. We are working to establish and build Baptist Churches on our reservations. Also, we work with missionaries already established on reservations and assist them with whatever needs they have (Preaching revivals, building Baptist Churches, assisting with VBS, and organizing mission trips to the reservations. We have 573 Native American Tribes in our Nation and over 300 major reservations with less than 20% having the True Gospel of Jesus Christ Preached to them. Our hearts are saddened by this reality and with the help of GOD it is our desire to reach every native tribe with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

NAMFM is blessed to be a part of Anchor Baptist Missions International (ABMI). This ministry is reaching the world for Jesus Christ and the building of His kingdom.
