March 2017 Prayer Letter

March 2017

Luke 10:2 “Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.” The Lord gave us a wonderful opportunity in March to preach a revival meeting on the Iowa Reservation in northeast Kansas. We had three tribal members attend that work together as drug and alcohol addiction officers.  I feel they were helped during the meeting. The Higginbotham family from Oklahoma met us and were greatly used of the Lord in the meeting. A dear pastor from a nearby town came and brought his family to the meeting. It was a joy meeting them and worshipping together. Please keep this tribe in your prayers that God would raise up a missionary for them.

Time is getting closer to our summer missions project for 2017. Lord willing, our first work day will be May 22nd, on the Fort Hall Reservation near Blackfoot, Idaho. We are building a fellowship hall on the reservation at the Faith Baptist Church, where Bro Joe Copley is missionary / pastor. Please make your plans to join us and put your hand to the plow for the glory of the Lord. I have said this and will say it again, a mission-minded church will say, “Bro, we will pray for you,” but a mission-hearted church will say, “What can I do to help?” There is a difference.  Which are you? We have a block of rooms held at the Best Western Pocatello Inn, 1415 Bench Rd, Pocatello, Idaho  83201, Office: 208-237-7650, Fax: 208-238-1355. The rate will be $85 + tax. Please call them and secure your rooms before April 24th. We realize that not everyone that would like to come and work is able to, but we do ask that you and your church consider helping with the construction supplies. You can send your financial support to Faith Baptist Church, c/o Pastor Joe Copley, 243 N University Ave, Blackfoot, ID 83221, or you may want to send it through the Native American Mission Fund Ministries (NAMFM), 3232 Hendersonville Hwy, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768. We also have an account for this project set up at the Lowes store, and if you would like you may make your contribution there. The escrow account # is 604409WBQDL04147 and the project name is Faith Baptist Church. Looking forward to seeing you there or hearing from you.
