Dear Soldiers of the Cross,
On November 1st I flew out to Billings, Montana, and was picked up at the airport by Bro Ronnie Henderson, missionary to the Crow Reservation in Montana. My plan was to only spend one night with them, but I was snowed in four days. God knew that we all needed this time of refreshing from one another. It was a joy visiting with Bro Ronnie, sister Vicky and her mom. I also had opportunity to preach at the church and visit with his dear folks. Bro Ronnie is doing a great work on the Crow Reservation and has been for more than 20 years. Thank God for their faithfulness to God and to these dear people. Bro Ronnie has a Gospel radio station at the church and is reaching many homes with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Would you please pray and consider making this ministry a part of your missions outreach? I was blessed when he shared with me how he could see the difference in the reservation when the radio came on the air. This ministry needs your support.
Finally, I was able to head out to my destinations, the Coeur d’Alene Reservation and Nez Perce Reservation, both in Idaho, and the Duck Valley Reservation (Shoshone and Paiute) in Nevada. Our visit revealed a need of solid Gospel work on the Coeur d’Alene and Nez Perce Reservations. There is a Baptist church on the Duck Valley. Please pray with us that God would send laborers to our forgotten Native people and revive our reservations unto Himself.
The Lord gave us an open door to preach and present our missions work at Dillion Baptist Church in Dillion, Montana, where Bro Steve Sturgeon is pastor. I stand amazed at so many of our churches that are in close proximity to our reservations and yet do not have an outreach ministry to them. Please pray that God will continue to open doors for us to share the hidden truth of this mission field. Proverbs 29:18, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.”
I met with the tribal leaders of the Spokane Reservation in Washington State and made plans for teaching a Bible School (VBS) there next summer. The youth group at Faith Baptist Church in Spokane, Washington, will be helping with this project. Please pray that all goes well. At present we have four churches joining us next summer on other reservations teaching VBS. Please pray for these projects as well.
