Dear Soldiers of the Cross
Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. We trust you are doing well and fighting the good fight of faith. The Lord has kept us busy in February and March preaching and presenting the missions work in many churches throughout NC, VA, TN and SC. Since October my travels for the most part has been along because Mrs. Sheril has taken on the part as care giver to her 80-year-old mother. Please pray for Mrs. Sheril and her Mom as each one of them adjust with these changes in lifestyle and pray for me as I continue the ministry.
Share O Thon 2018 was outstanding, the Lord Blessed once again by meeting the budget for WGCR Radio 720AM and just when I think it can’t get any better (the Preaching, Singing and fellowship) the Lord proves me wrong again. I thank the Lord for giving us these times of heaven on earth, it just deepens our desire to see HIM even more.
We had opportunity to visit Red Path Baptist Church on the Catawba Reservation in Rock Hill SC. We are praising the Lord for giving these dear folks a good church and a faithful dear pastor. Please pray that God will do great and mighty works among the Catawba people.
Our summer missions project this year will be at Anchor Baptist Church and Missions in Pisgah Forest NC. Lord willing, we are wanting to convert a tractor trailer into a mobile work unit to be used out on the reservations for building projects. The unit will also be available for working disasters when needed. At present we are in the design stage and collecting building material. Please keep this project in your prayers and ask the Lord what he would have you do by way of helping with material and or hands on work.
Finally, brethren pray for us as we are coordinating 8 Bible Schools (VBS) on 8 different reservations from Maine to Washington State and from Oklahoma to South Dakota. We are in need 3 more churches to help us get this done, give us a call and give God a week of your time to labor for HIM.
As We Labor for Christ,
Gerry & Sheril Locklear
