May – June 2025 Prayer Letter

Dear Soldiers of the Cross,

I will start this prayer letter off with a wellness update. I shared with you in my April letter how I had a light heart attack while on the Fort Mojave Reservation in California. The month of May has been a recovery time for me, as I did cancel some of my planned trips. I was able to see a cardiologist in Asheville, North Carolina, and he has started me on a new regimen of medications that has been very difficult for me to get used to. Please pray for me as I navigate this next step of my God-called journey.

As the month of June rolled around, I was still experiencing some weakness, so I cancelled my trip to Alaska for my first Bible school for the year. Praise the Lord for Bro Scott Dotson and his dear folks at Little Ivy Baptist Church that continued to go on without me and carry out the VBS at Open Door Baptist Church where Missionary Kevin Smith is pastor. I’m so thankful for the faithful churches that God has placed alongside of us to help in our ministry. Little Ivy Baptist Church also helped us with a VBS on the Flathead Reservation in Montana. Missionary Wayne Voss was well-pleased with the group, and he’s already looking forward to them returning next year. Thank you again, Little Ivy Baptist Church, for standing with us in the ministry!

I want to also thank Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for your faithfulness to help us with our Bible school on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico. Our missionary, Bro Don Heeley, was very impressed with your abilities and your love and respect for him and our Native people. God blessed your efforts and labors with six souls. Praise the Lord! Thank you so much for standing with us in the ministry and for loving our Native people! God will bless you for your sacrifices you have made for His Glory.

Because of the prayers of the saints, God has strengthened my body, and we are back on the mission field. The last week in June we were able to resume our activities and get back to work. Praise the Lord! I want to thank my church, Hoopers Creek Baptist Church, for helping me with our VBS on the Wampanoag Reservation at Mashpee Baptist Church on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. God met with us in a special way through the door knocking, fellowship and Bible school. What a joyous time it is laboring with God’s people in search of souls for Christ. The highways and the hedges are full of lost and hurting people, needing someone to rescue them. Thank you, Lord, for allowing me to be a part of your heavenly work on earth. Please continue to pray for my health.
