April 2026 Prayer Letter

Dear Soldiers of the Cross,

Philippians 1:12-14 “But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel; So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places; And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

I have mentioned in my previous letters concerning our building project on the Spirit Lake Reservation in North Dakota. This building project was scheduled to begin the first week in May. But the main work group that was to help us decided not to come, and as a result we had to cancel the project. I’ve been in this situation before, so I asked God, “Is there something else you want me to do?” And he said, “Yes.” I’m not going to deal with the group that canceled on me; I’m going to let God take care of that. But I do want to share with you the open doors that God gave me.

Let me first say that I have learned that the door of opportunity turns on the hinge of opposition. Many times, God uses opposition to direct us in the direction he wants us to go. So when you have these days, and you will, allow God time to do the work in your life that he desires to do, and you will be glad. Now, rejoice with me in the opportunities.

God allowed us to visit six reservations that we have worked with over the years. With two of these, the Spokane and the Kalispel, we have Bible schools scheduled this year.  Also, with both of them, I did need to visit to shore up a few things. We also had the great privilege to visit the new missionary couple on the Colville Reservation here in Washington State. Please pray for this precious couple as they begin their journey ministering to our Native people. Currently they are under supported. If you would like to be a part of their ministry by supporting them, that would be a great blessing.

God also allowed us to visit our dear friends, Bro Glenn Hohmann and his wife Deb, on the Yakama Reservation and preach for him at Yakama Valley Baptist Church. They have been faithful missionaries to our Native people for more than 35 years. Please keep them in your prayers. I have posted a video on Facebook about their building project. Please consider helping them finish up this project.

The highlight of the trip was the open door God has given us to do a Bible school on the Kootenai Reservation in the panhandle of Idaho. We have been trying for many years to do this.  Praise the LORD! Please pray for this great opportunity that the Gospel will be manifested in all the place for his glory.
