Dear Soldiers of the Cross,
Psalm 107:23-24 “They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.” Beloved, I shared this scripture with you a few months back, but it is still ringing in my soul, and I guess it’s because of its manifestation in my life. God gave us two wonderful open doors on the Mohegan Reservation and the Mashantucket Pequot Reservation in Connecticut. These two reservations had been on my heart for some time, and it all happened in God’s time. I carried with me some of the John Eliot’s Native American Bibles to share with them, but I had no idea that they could read it. I knew that they did speak the Eastern Algonquian language, and I thought that the dialect would be different, but I was wrong. They could read John Eliot’s Bible, and to top it all off, they were so excited to get this Bible. I was so amazed in this open door and seeing God’s hand at work. Can I say I was astonished! God orchestrated every open door. I was able to place a Bible in the hands of the Chief of the Mohegan Tribe, Council members, museums, libraries, linguistic teachers, school programs and historical shelves. Beloved, my heart is still rejoicing over all that my God did in those days.
This brings me to a need that I’ve been sharing with you for some time now. Most of you know that the Lord blessed us through you in 2024 to raise $70,000 to print the John Eliot Bible and return it to the original people, the Wampanoag Tribe. We were able to put this Bible into three of their six communities. Since then we have been trying to raise another $70,000 to do another reprint. We are presently at $33,000. Now having these new open doors with the John Eliot Bible, we are pleading with you to please help us with this reprint. Beloved, these are hands of lost souls into which we are putting this Bible. Beloved, can’t you see this wonderful opportunity before you to be a part of the saving of souls? If you would like to help, mail your check to Native American Mission Fund Ministries or NAMFM, 3232 Hendersonville Hwy, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768 and mark the memo, John Eliot Bible Fund.
God blessed us with another wonderful VBS on the Wampanoag Reservation in Cape Cod. The Lord met with us in a special way with many responding to the Gospel. The church now has a pastor, and we are rejoicing with them.
We are thankful for my church, Hoopers Creek Baptist, for helping with VBS on the Navajo Reservation, Pleasant Hill Baptist for their help at a different church on the Navajo, North Hazelwood Baptist for helping with VBS on the Navajo Reservation, and Little Ivy for helping with a VBS on the Flathead Reservation in Montana. Thank you so much for your sacrificial giving.
